The 18th College Colors Day, the national holiday that celebrates collegiate fandom returns on Friday, September 2, uniting all Lions fans across the country by encouraging them to represent Loyola Marymount University by wearing their favorite gear on a single day.
Created by the university's exclusive licensing partner, CLC, this year's College Colors theme, "It's About That Time," underscores the anticipation and excitement of the upcoming seasons as LMU fans get ready for fierce competition.
"Enthusiasm and anticipation around college sports are at their highest now," said
Jacob Dye, Associate Athletic Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement. "LMU fans can't wait to see their teams in action, gather with friends, and participate in other fun Lions traditions throughout the current and upcoming seasons. College Colors Day sets the tone and provides a platform for fans to express that eagerness by showing their LMU spirit to the world. Whether you're hanging up a flag outside of the house or showing off your new gear for the season, 'It's About That Time,' for fans to display their fandom for Loyola Marymount University."
