Box Score SANTA CLARA, Calif. – #17 LMU women's water polo built up a double-digit lead on Saturday before closing out Santa Clara, 14-5, on the road.
The Lions controlled the game from the start, building a 6-0 lead after one quarter and taking a 10-0 advantage into halftime.
Mollie Williams led the team with four goals and three assists.
Tara DeBrabander and
Marialena Seletopoulou each put together multi-goal performances.
Alexandra Akritidou,
Isabella Barajas,
Taylor Enright,
Yanah Gerber,
Sophie Kadifa, and
Kelsey Snelgar all scored in the win as well.
LMU used three different goalkeepers with the game decided so early.
Elizabeth Bradley led the way with 10 saves and three steals.
Madison Davis recorded three saves and
Talia Herbermann added one.
The Lions will close out the weekend Sunday at #1 Stanford.
