LOS ANGELES- The Loyola Marymount Women's Tennis team (15-2) defeated No. 42 ranked San Diego, 5-1, in their final home game of the regular season to continue their win streak in the West Coast Conference.
 
It started with excellent doubles play from the Lions, as Isabella Tcherkes-Zade/Wiktoria Rutkowska and Eva Marie Voracek/Ulyana Shirokova won on courts 1 and 3 to give the Lions the early, 1-0 advantage.
 
In singles, the Lions were quick to get some points on the board as Ulyana Shirkova took over court 6 grabbing the second point for LMU. Eva Marie Voracek would increase the lead with a win on court 2, as the Toreros were able to respond by winning on court 3 before Isabella Tcherkes-Zade would follow up with the match clinching point on court 5.
 
On court 1, there was a massive match between #78 Veronika Miroshnichenko and #53 Solymar Colling, as Miroshnichenko would upset Colling in a dual match set, winning in a ten-point tie breaker.
