Los Angeles, Calif.- The LMU Women's Basketball team (8-13, 3-8) has been on a journey in the past week, as they have won and loss important West Coast Conference games to the University of Portland.

The Lions were not able to sweep the two conference matches with the Pilots, who are currently ranked third in WCC standings, as they split the conference series 1-1.

As the Lions travel to face a disoriented San Diego team who lost eight straight conference games prior to beating Pacific. It will be interesting to see how LMU bounces back, as both teams are 3-8 in the WCC.

Ariel Johnson has been leading the charge for the Lions, coming off a recent season-high game of 30 points, while also helping the Lions defeat Portland on Saturday, scoring 13 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Jasmine Jones, who hit the game winner in the Portland victory, has also continued exemplifying excellent leadership on the court.  Meanwhile, Alexis Mark has been phenomenal on the boards grabbing a total of 32 rebounds in the past three games.

The Lions will look to bounce back with a conference win as we get closer to the WCC Tournament slated to start March 3, 2022.

Tip-off will be at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. The game can be streamed on WCC Network and live stats can be found at the link here.

The Lions are averaging 59.1 points per game, while shooting just above 45% from the field, while grabbing 34.3 rebounds per game all in the past four conference matches.

The Toreros are coming off an 81-77 win over Pacific after losing eight straight conference games. This losing streak occurred after the Toreros defeated LMU in their last meeting at Gersten Pavilion, which was Jan. 13.

It will be the second matchup between the two programs and a great conference game, as they are both searching for win 4. The Lions will then return home on Saturday Feb 12., to host Santa Clara for the second time in conference play.
