LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University women's basketball team will be hosting Senior Night for their final home game against San Francisco Dons, as they look to pick up their fifth conference win in the last week of the season, then will travel to Spokane to face the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the season finale.
The Lions are coming off a great victory at home against Pacific Tigers 69-66 on Saturday, as they will finalize their season this week.
Ariel Johnson is leading the Lions in scoring ahead of this final week, as the junior has a total of 378 points this season, which lands her at the No. 7 spot in the conference for scoring. Johnson is also leading the team in assist with 94, 8
th in the conference, as well as, and in steals with 50, 6
th in the conference.
Alexis Mark leads the team in rebounds with 182, which landed her at No. 3 spot in the conference.
The Lions will host the Dons for the second time this season, as LMU lost the first contest, 49-70, on the road.
LMU will host the Dons at Gersten Pavilion on Thursday for Senior Day, where the team will honor the Lions' four seniors,
Meghan Mandel,
Haley Herdman,
Chelsey Gipson, and
Jasmine Jones at 7:00 p.m. This will be followed by a senior ceremony at 9:00 p.m. PST. The Lions will travel to Spokane, Wash. to face the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m. PST at the McCarthy Athletic Center.
