SANTA CLARA, CA - Three Lions finish with double digits in a tough, 46-61, loss against the Santa Clara Broncos Monday afternoon. 
 
The Lions had many good looks, but the shots just wouldn't fall. The Lions struggled from the field shooting 29% in the first half compared to the Broncos 53.8%.
 
Alexis Mark was the top performer this game finishing with a double-double,15 points and 12 rebounds.

With 5:24 left in the fourth, Mark made a second chance layup putting the Lions within nine of the Broncos, 31-39.
 
LMU started to gain momentum in the third going on a 10-0 run against Santa Clara. At the 4:56 mark, Amaya Oliver made a layup that put the Lions within five of the Broncos.
 
Oliver finished the game with 12 points; and all 12 points coming from the second half.
 
The comeback looked promising until the Broncos went on a 5-0 run, extending their lead, and eventually winning the game. 
 
Ariel Johnson also added 10 points and six rebounds to the stats line as well.
 
The Lions next game will be this Wednesday, Dec. 21, against the CSUN Matadors at Gersten Pavilion. This game will also be the Lions Pancreatic Cancer Awareness game.
