Box Score LOS ANGELES -- The Loyola Marymount University men's tennis team started off great on Friday, winning doubles 2-1, giving them an early 1-0 advantage over UC Santa Barbara.
The Lions started off slow in singles. Losing on courts 3,2, 1.
Dane Esses gave the Lions hope as he defeated UCSB's Kai Brady on court 5, while
Emin Torlic made a comeback on court 6 to tie things up 3-3.
With just court 4 as the deciding factor, Jose Dominguez (LMU) fought very hard before losing match 3 to Pablo Masjuan (UCSB).
This makes LMU's first lost on the season, as they move to 1-1.
