LOS ANGELES – On a hot day at Sullivan Field, the LMU women's soccer team had their hands full against the nation's fourth-ranked team. Undefeated UCLA (4-0) took the match, 3-0, with three first half goals over the host Lions (0-6).
Reilyn Turner completed the first half hat trick for the Bruins, scoring in the 6
th, 17
th, and 36
th minutes to take a 3-0 lead into intermission.
Madison Werner recorded LMU's first shot of the game in the 57
th minute on a counter attack that resulted in a UCLA save.
The Lions kept UCLA out of the net in the second half as neither team scored in the final 45 minutes.
LMU will travel for the next three games, beginning with a Friday night matchup against San Jose State.
