LOS ANGELES – LMU women's volleyball moves to 3-0 in conference play following a three-set sweep over Gonzaga on Tuesday night. The win increases the LMU win streak to 12 games after defeating the Bulldogs, 3-0 (25-13, 26-24, 25-32).

The Lions started the match with three straight points and increased the lead to 6-2 on back-to-back kills by
Kari Geissberger. With Gonzaga within one, LMU scored six consecutive points and 15 out of 19 to take a 23-11 lead before ultimately closing out the set hitting .423.

With the second set score tied at 9-9, LMU benefitted from a scoring run of four unanswered with
Megan Rice at the service line. Later in the set, the Zags strung together six of seven points to force match point, leading 24-22. Consecutive kills by
Audrey Klemp and
Kari Geissberger fought off the two set point opportunities as the Lions closed out the set with the final four points.

LMU took an early 5-3 lead, but Gonzaga scored the next five points to flip the score to 8-5. The Lions would tie the score at 8-all, then take a lead at 12-10 on another Klemp kill. The score would go on to be tied at 19-all before LMU closed out the match with six of the final eight points.

Geissberger finished with 14 kills, while Klemp hit .556 for her 11 kills.
Isabella Bareford recorded 33 of the team's 43 kills. LMU finished with 7.5 total blocks. With
Jacquelyn Moore and Geissberger each recording four block assists.

The Lions will play in Malibu on Saturday afternoon against Pepperdine to close out the week.
