LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University Lions (20-29, 13-14 WCC) took control of the game early, never trailing against the Tigers and sent their 11 seniors out with a 10-3 win over Pacific on Senior Day.
Before their final game of the 2021 season the Lions honored 11 seniors for their contributions to the team.
Julian Bury,
Alec Cargin,
Nathan Critchett,
Sean Paquet,
Ryan Kawano,
Dylan Hirsch,
Alex Lambeau,

The Lions didn't waste any time in running away with their fourth-straight West Coast Conference series win and fifth out of their last six weekend series against conference foes. LMU also posted their fifth series win against Pacific in their last six outings.
Diego Barrera drew the Sunday finale start and responded with 5 2/3 innings of four hit baseball and was in command throughout the afternoon. He struck out five against zero walks to 22 Pacific batters.
The Lions got their runs in five separate innings, one in the first, four in the third, two in both the fifth and sixth and one in the eighth.
LMU broke the game open in the home half of the third with a two-run single from Bury then a bases clearing triple from Voelker and never looked back.
The Lions power was on display and it came courtesy of a two-run home run from Cargin in the fifth and a solo shot from Bury in the sixth.
LMU gave up a run in the seventh, eighth, and ninth but were never really threatened by the Tigers and prevailed when Hirsch caught a fly ball to center ending the game in favor of the Lions.
The Lions finished the season strong and will look forward to 2022 and a return trip to postseason.
