Women’s Soccer Returns to Sullivan Field One Final Time this Spring

LOS ANGELES – LMU women's soccer will play their first home game in over a month this Saturday, as the team hosts San Francisco. The Lions will begin the game by recognizing graduating senior Simone Handy prior to the 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

Due to the cancelation earlier in the year against Santa Clara, the Lions have not played on Sullivan Field since March 6 against ranked BYU.

LMU has won four out of the last five games over the Dons, including a 1-0 shutout in the fall of 2019. Amber McCorkle scored the game's only goal in the win, converting a penalty kick.

Handy has been a member of the Lions since 2017 and has scored four goals for LMU and logged over 2,000 minutes in her time. Handy will graduate with a degree in management this May.

The team will also be wearing pink warmup shirts along with socks for the match for our annual Breast Cancer Awareness game.

The game will air on the WCC Network and live stats will be offered through Statbraodcast.com.
