LOS ANGELES – The No. 10 Loyola Marymount University Lions (5-0-2, 4-0-2 WCC) were in a tight match with the University of San Francisco and after 90 minutes and two overtime sessions ended their game in a 0-0 draw.
The Lions and Dons went back and forth in the first half trading shots with LMU putting five up against USF's six. Two of LMU's shots were on net while the Dons had three on goal. The Lions held the first half advantage in corners at 3-2.
The game opened up in the second half and the Lions put on the offensive pressure, producing 12 shots to the Dons six and getting seven on goal to USF's one.
After 90 minutes of action the game remained tied at zero. The first overtime session saw a pair of shots for the Lions but nothing to come across the net. The second session saw LMU put another pair of shots up with one nearly producing the game winner.
The Lions will close out the regular season next weekend in Moraga, California when they pay a visit to No. 20 Saint Mary's. The match between the Lions and Gaels is set for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, April 11th.
