MORAGA, Calif. – LMU women's soccer closed out the season on Saturday with a 3-0 loss at Saint Mary's. The Lions (1-7-1, 1-7-0 WCC) were unable to find the back of the net against the Gaels (4-4-3, 4-3-2 WCC).
Th two teams played to a scoreless half hour before Saint Mary's found the back of the net on the first of two Emily Jensen Goals.
The shot totals were a close 11-7 in favor of the Gaels; however, the Lions were unable to get a shot on goal against SMC. Bella Belltran's strike just before halftime hit the crossbar as LMU's best opportunity. All four of substitutes for the Lions took a shot on net.
Saint Mary's added a pair after intermission, with goals coming in the 49
th and 51
st minutes, respectively.
Kendyll Humphreys played 90 minutes in net, recording four saves.
This result ends Head Coach
Jenny Bindon's first season with the program.
