Watch Live | Live Stats

LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University Lions (2-0, 1-0 WCC) enter this weekend as the number 11th ranked team in the country according to the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll after winning their second straight game to start the season.

The Lions lofty ranking can be attributed to the all-around team efforts from everyone on the pitch. LMU has outshot their opponents 25-9 and outscored the opposition 4-0 to start the year. In addition to applying pressure offensively, the Lions have gotten two clean sheets from goalkeeper Jacob Jackson.

LMU welcomes the Bulldogs to Sullivan Field for the second straight year and will look to repeat the result from 2019 when they won 1-0 in overtime. LMU currently has a five game winning streak against the Bulldogs and have outscored them 6-1 during that time.

Heading into the weekend LMU has a four way tie for leading goal scorer with Steven Anderson, Noel Caliskan, Ronaldo Brown, and Duhaney Williams each with one goal scored. In addition to spreading the goal scoring around the Lions have gotten a team leading five shots from Narciso Cervantes with three coming on goal.

For everything on the offensive end, the Lions defensive continues to turn opponents away. LMU has only allowed their opponents nine shots on the year with three coming on goal. The pair of Gerardo Lopez and Nick Dauchot have provided ample coverage for LMU on defense. Lopez, was also recognized as the UCU West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week joining Jackson and Brown to be selected for the honor.

Fans will not be permitted to attend home matches as long as the current Los Angeles County and state of California rules are in effect. Live stats and a stream of the game with be available on lmulions.com. All dates and times are subject to change.
