STANFORD, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount University softball team concluded its series against the Stanford Cardinals on Sunday. The team battled, but fell to the Cardinals 2-0.
Stanford opened up the game with two runs in the bottom of the first, the only two runs of the game.
The Lions had two total hits, while the Cardinals had five.
Molly Grumbo went 1-2 at the plate, while
Allisha Martinez went 1-3.

Desiree Moreno and
Alyssa Daniell all had three putouts.
Marina Vitalich pitched 6.0 innings and allowed five hits and two runs. She had three strikeouts.
The Lions will be back up north next week to take on Oregon in a three-game series, March 26-27.
