LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University softball team will head north to take on Stanford in a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday.
The Lions head into this weekend's games coming off of a 3-2 weekend, where the team went undefeated at home, beating UCSB and UNLV twice. The Lions had two tough road losses against Long Beach State that Sunday.
The Lions are currently second in the West Coast Conference in homeruns, with seven on the season, and third in the conference in batting average with .242. LMU is fourth in the conference.
Taylor Keinath leads the conference in stolen bases with seven.
The last time the Lions played Stanford was in 2018, where LMU swept the Cardinals 4-0. Stanford is 14-4 this season, and is coming off of a 2-0 sweep over Cal Poly.
The Lions will play their first game at 1:00 PM PST in Stanford, Calif. The second game will begin 30 minutes after the first one ends. The Lions will be back on the field on Sunday at noon to conclude the series.
