Women’s Soccer Remains at Home Saturday to Host San Diego

YouTube Live | Live Stats

LOS ANGELES – Undefeated through two games this season, LMU women's soccer (1-0-1, 1-0-0 WCC) is set to host the winless San Diego Toreros (0-0-2, 0-0-0 WCC) in a West Coast Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m.

The Lions have played overtime in each of the first two games this season and thanks to reigning WCC Player of the Week Siarfo Abekah's game-winning goal have a goal differential of one through those games. On the other hand, San Diego has been outscored 7-to-1 this season and is coming off a shutout loss to fourth-ranked UCLA.

Saturday's game is the second of four-consecutive home games to open the season. LMU and San Diego did meet for a preseason scrimmage back on Feb. 6.

The two teams met for a five-goal thriller last season at Torero Stadium as USD won 3-2.

The game can be watched live on YouTube with live stats being provided through StatBroadcast. Links are available above and on the team's schedule page on LMULions.com.
