LOS ANGELES ā The Loyola Marymount University women's volleyball team (3-3) will take its second road trip of the season this week to take on No. 12 Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah On Tuesday and Wednesday night.Ā

The Lions will head to Provo coming off of a sweep over the Portland Pilots, as the team won their first game 3-0, and then their second 3-1.

Kari Geissberger leads the team in kills, tallying up 98 in just 26 sets played, giving her a .322 attack percentage. The freshman holds down the No. 5 spot in the conference.Ā

The Lions currently hold down fifth place in the conference, while the Cougars are first. Last season, the Lions went 0-2 against the Cougars, and trail BYU 18-2 all-time. The last time the Lions beat BYU was in 2018, when LMU upset the No. 1 Cougars.Ā Ā BYU is currently 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in the conference.Ā
