LOS ANGELES – LMU men's basketball is set to return to competition this week and play their second game of the season against the Pacific Tigers. LMU (8-6, 3-3 WCC) will be playing their first game since defeating Portland by 25 on Jan. 23.
Pacific (6-5, 3-4 WCC), coming off a comfortable win over the Pilots in their most recent outing on Thursday afternoon, will have a much shorter layoff between contests with only 48 hours scheduled after their home game against Portland.
This game will be the first time that Head Coach
Stan Johnson will have played the same conference team for a second time. In the non-conference, LMU had back-to-back opportunities with both Minnesota and UC Santa Barbara.
In the first game between these two teams, both programs had an opportunity to pull away. The game featured seven ties and nine lead changes.
Pacific and LMU sit atop the WCC in offensive rebounds per game, at 10.78 and 10.71, respectively. LMU outrebounds opponents by 8.50 per game and allows just 28.79 rebounds per game to opponents, both conference bests.
The game will air on FOX Sports Prime Ticket, FOX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports Time Ohio, ROOT Sports NW, and NBC Sports California. It will also air later on Saturday on delay on FOX Sports North later Saturday night and on FOX Sports Southeast, FOX Sports Sun, FOX Sports North and FOX Sports Wisconsin on Sunday and Monday. For out of market fans, Watch Stadium will have a live stream available.
As always, the game will be available to the radio audience on KXLU 88.9 FM.
