LOS ANGELES – The LMU men's basketball team remains on the road to face Bellarmine in the final game of the non-conference schedule and final game of 2021. The Lions and Knights will tip on Tuesday night on ESPN+ from historic Freedom Hall in Louisville at 7:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM PST.
The Lions traveled straight to Kentucky following Saturday's game in Reno against Nevada. Following the game at Bellarmine, the Lions will only have West Coast Conference opponents remaining on the schedule, beginning with hosting Gonzaga on New Year's Day in Los Angeles.
Keli Leaupepe led the Lions in scoring on Saturday for the first time since opening night. That performance was Leaupepe's first 20-point output since his freshman season, where the Australian accounted for three games of 20 points or more with totals of 23, 24, and 25.
Bellarmine has played one of the toughest non-conference schedules to date this season. The Knights have the top NET Strength of Schedule in the country, with games against six Quadrant 1 opponents.
The Lions rank 92
nd in the country with 15.18 turnovers forced per game, which will be a good test against the Knights who are tied for 87
th in the country with only 12.00 turnovers committed per game.
This is the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The game will also be broadcasted on radio on KXLU 88.9.
