LOS ANGELES - After over three weeks away from The Bluff, the LMU Women's Basketball team will play their last home non-conference game on Saturday when they face the Texas State Bobcats (5-5) for the first time in program history. The Lions will round out their non-conference slate with a road match against Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, Dec. 21.

Saturday's first ever matchup with the Bobcats comes after a week and a half break following the Lion's pair of games in Hawaii. A win against the Bobcats would bring the Lions back within a game of .500 and allow for a chance to reach that mark by the end of non-conference play.

The previous game for the Lions, a 66-52 win at Hawaii Pacific, saw four Lions in double-figure scoring, one double-double, and three near double-doubles. Khari Clark was a significant provider of points from the paint and the line, as well as leading the way on the glass. Clark has been a standout on the road, scoring in double-figures in five of the six road games so far this season, and will look to bring a performance like this back to Gersten Pavilion.

Alexis Mark will be another player to keep an eye on, as she has increased both her scoring and rebounds in nearly every game this season. The transfer from Boise State seemed to find her groove on the islands as she notched a double-double against Hawaii and came within three rebounds of another against Hawaii Pacific.

For the Bobcats, they are coming off an unexpected 39-62 defeat by Dartmouth, who came into the game 0-10. After a back and forth start, the Bobcats fell to an unrecoverable deficit. The loss hands the Bobcats their third straight loss, a skid that snapped an early December three game winning streak. The Bobcats will enter Saturday's game an even .500 and hungry to avenge their previous losses.

The Lions will be just as eager for a victory and a chance to defend home court one last time in the non-conference slate.
