LOS ANGELES, CA. – The Loyola Marymount University Lions kicked off the 2021-22 season with an exhibition against Biola and defeated the Eagles 87-73 on Wednesday night at Gersten Pavilion.
From the tip the Lions were in command, leading the game wire-to-wire and had a double-digit advantage for a majority of the game.
Leading the charge for the Lions was the trio of
Khari Clark,
Kimora Sykes, and
Ariel Johnson. Clark led all scorers with 22 points followed by Sykes' 17 and Johnson's 13. Clark was all over the court for the Lions and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double.
LMU's Aspen Adams was the fourth Lion to score in double figures with 14 points while connecting on a team-high four three-pointers.
The Lions now turn their focus to the regular season, which starts when they travel to Santa Barbara to play the Gauchos on Tuesday, November 9
th. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
