LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University women's basketball team (5-8, 4-4 WCC) will be back in action on Saturday to host the University of San Francisco Dons in Gersten Pavilion.
The Lions are coming off of a split weekend up north, where the team had an impressive 81-71 win over Pacific, but then lost to Saint Mary's 69-65. The Lions not only took home a big win, but they tied for first all-time in three-point shots made with 13.
Ariel Johnson set her high against Pacific in points with 23 and in three-pointers made with five.
This will be the second meeting this season between the Lions and the Dons, as LMU played USF in its first conference road trip of the season, where the Lions took home a 72-55 win.
The Dons are 8-8 on the season and will head into Saturday's game on a three-game winning streak, including wins over Santa Clara and two wins against Pepperdine. LMU is 38-47 all-time against the Dons and split with the team in 2020. The Lions are No. 5. In the West Coast Conference, while the Dons sit at the No. 8 spot.
Tip-off will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday in Gersten Pavilion.
