Six WWPA institutions - Air Force, California Baptist, Concordia, Fresno Pacific, Loyola Marymount, and Santa Clara - are working on plans to compete in the 2020-21 season. Air Force, CBU and LMU open their respective seasons this Saturday, Jan. 23, while FPU, CUI and SCU start dates are still to be determined. Institutions will make their own determination in postponing or cancelling their seasons if circumstances do not allow for competition to take place.

UC Davis and UC San Diego opted out of the 2020-21 season earlier this week.

The WWPA will host its annual conference championship at a site to be determined, March 6-8, 2021, to decide the conference's automatic qualifier for the National Collegiate Water Polo Championship (March 20-21, 2021). The WWPA Championship will have a minimum of three teams competing.

The WWPA respects the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff, officials, and surrounding communities during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. All WWPA competitions will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the host institution, the NCAA, and local health departments.
