CWPA Release
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Loyola Marymount University men's water polo team will enter the Winter 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men's Water Polo season tied for ninth in the National Top 20 Poll released by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).
The Lions received 52 points in the poll and are tied with Bucknell in the ninth position.
LMU is one of three WWPA teams in the top-10, joined by UC Davis and UC San Diego at seventh and eighth, respectively.
The Lions enter the new season following a 14-12 year in the fall of 2019, which was highlighted by a win at then-11
th ranked UC San Diego. LMU topped the Toreros, 17-16, in the Sept. 25, 2019 thriller.
