Women’s Water Polo Set for Four at Claremont Convergence

LOS ANGELES – Following a week away from the pool, the LMU women's water polo team (8-6) returns to action on Friday and Saturday for the Claremont Convergence. The Lions will play four games from three sites at Pomona-Pitzer, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and La Verne.
 
LMU's Saturday slate begins with Cal State Monterey Bay at 11:15 a.m. from Haldeman Pool. The Lions will then make the trip over to Axelrod Pool to face La Salle at 3:00 p.m.
 
Sunday's action will begin at 9:00 a.m. as the Lions take on Saint Francis (PA) from La Verne's Las Flores Park. LMU will remain in that pool for the 12:45 p.m. game against Concordia to close out the tournament.

The tournament features 18 schools from across the country. Participating teams are: California State University, Monterey Bay, Fresno Pacific University, St. Francis College, Brooklyn, California State University, Sonoma, La Salle University, University of California, Santa Barbara, California Institute of Technology, LMU, University of La Verne, Chapman University, Occidental College, University of Redlands, Claremont McKenna-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Villanova University, Concordia University Irvine, Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, and Whittier College.
 
All matches are free of charge. Video streaming and live stats will be provided for all matches at all three venues. Links are located on the Tournament Central page above on the women's water polo schedule on LMULions.com.
 
Pomona-Pitzer matches will be held at Haldeman Pool at 290 East Sixth Street on the campus of Pomona College (in Claremont, California). The main parking structure is located at First Street and Columbia Avenue (walk up Columbia Avenue - then walk to the right after passing the baseball field and Haldeman Pool is behind the football goal posts). Street parking is also available on Mills Avenue between First and Sixth (which may fill up). Axelrood Pool at Claremont Mudd Scripps is walking distance from Haldeman Pool (1/4 of mile East on Sixth Street, next to Roberts Pavilion).
