LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University women's basketball team (7-17, 3-8 WCC) will head up north to take on Santa Clara and San Francisco this week. 
 
The Lions will head into this week's games coming off of two tough losses at home last week, as the team fell to Saint Mary's 70-61 and to Pacific 87-70. 
 
CiCi Ellington led the Lions in points against Saint Mary's with 20, while Chelsey Gipson led against Pacific with 20. Gipson is leading the team in total points this season, totaling 308, while Ellington comes in second with 254.
 
Jasmine Jones leads the Lions in rebounds with 161. Ellington comes in second with 116, while leading the team in assists with 67.
 
This will be the second time this season the Lions have taken on both Santa Clara and San Francisco, as LMU swept the Bay Area teams in January, beating the Broncos 75-59 and the Dons 76-69. 
 
LMU will take on Santa Clara on Thursday at 7:00 PM. The Broncos are 8-13 overall and 2-8 in conference play. The Lions will head to San Francisco to take on the Dons on Saturday at 2:00 PM. The Dons are 8-14 overall and 1-9 in conference play, coming off of a win against Santa Clara.
