LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University women's basketball team will take its last road trip of the season this week, as the team will head down to San Diego to take on the Toreros on Thursday, and will then head to Provo, Ut., to take on the Cougars.
The Lions will head into this weekend's game coming off of two tough losses. The Lions fought both Gonzaga and Portland, as LMU was tied with both of teams leaving the half.
Raychel Stanley led the Lions on Senior Day against Portland, scoring 17 points, while
Naomi Yim scored her career high in points with 16.
Chelsey Gipson leads the Lions in points with 328, while
Jasmine Jones leads in rebounds with 199 and CiCi Ellington leads in assists with 80.
This will be the second time this season the Lions will have met with San Diego and BYU. LMU kicked off conference play at the end of December against the two, falling to the Toreros 67-59 and to the Cougars 59-44.
The Lions will kick off their last road trip of the season at San Diego on Thursday at 6:00 PM, and will then head to Provo to play BYU at 1:00 PM.
