Men's Rowing will be heading to Newport Beach, Calif. to compete in the annual Parker Cup this upcoming weekend, Saturday February 22nd, against San Diego State University and UC Irvine.
 
At last year's Parker Cup, the Lions had just fallen short against the Anteaters and Aztecs in the Varsity 8+ event. This year Men's Rowing has high hopes for all events going into this weekend, as they have been seeing some strong practices in Marina del Rey.
 
Lions will kick off the day with the Varsity 8+ event starting at 7:45 am. The first and second Varsity 4+'s are scheduled to race at 8:45 am and the Novice 4+ will follow shortly after at 9:00 am.
 
After the Parker Cup, Men's Rowing will return to Newport Beach on February 29th for their first appearance at the UC Challenge Cup against other Southern California collegiate crews.
