Rodriguez, Clark Mark Season Highs Against UNLV

LAS VEGAS, Nev., -- Three Lions scored in double-digits against UNLV on Monday afternoon in Las Vegas, Nev. Nicole Rodriguez scored her career high in points with 14, and Khari Clark marked her season high in rebounds with 10. 
 
While there were standout performances, the Lions fell in their last non-conference game of the season to UNLV, 94-59.  
 
The Lions had tough first half, as the Rebels outscored LMU 24-12 in the first quarter, and then 34-20 in the second, closing out the half down 32-58. 
 
LMU came out stronger in the second half, putting up 27 points, but the Rebels still closed out the game up 94-59. 
 
Rodriguez topped her season high with 14, beating her previous high against GCU which was 13. The freshman went 4-8 from behind the arch and went 5-9 from the field. CiCi Ellington and Ariel Johnson also scored in double-digits, with 13 and 10, respectively. 
 
Clark pulled 10 rebounds against the Rebels, which marks her season high, coming close to her career high of 12, which she set her freshman season against Long Beach State. 
 
Rodriguez and Johnson led the team in assists with four a piece, while Johnson also led the team in steals with four. Clark and Meghan Mandel both had two blocks a piece. 
 
The Lions outscored the Rebels from the field with 87.5. percent, compared to UNLV's 83.5 percent. LMU had 16 total assists and eight total steals. 
 
Monday's game marked the final non-conference game for the Lions. LMU will kick off conference play on December 28 against Gonzaga.
