LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University men's tennis team is set to host its third consecutive match this season, as the team will host UC Santa Barbara on Saturday.
The Lions head into Saturday's match coming off of a weekend sweep, as the team beat conference opponents San Francisco 4-3 and Santa Clara 5-2.
Diego Nava and
Lucas Moreno both went undefeated in singles play last week, Nava from the second court and Moreno from the third.
Last season, the Lions played UC Santa Barbara on the road and fell 5-2, while also losing the season before at home 4-3. The Gauchos are currently 1-3 on the season.
"UCSB has always been a tough opponent and they made it the second round of the NCAA's last year," said head coach
Tom Lloyd. "We are expecting a very tough match from a very well coached team this weekend."
The Lions will kick off their match starting with doubles play on Saturday at 11:00 AM.
