LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount University women's basketball team (6-13, 2-4) will head up the road to take on rival Pepperdine in the PCH Cup on Saturday.
The Lions will head into Saturday's game coming off of a weekend sweep, as the team beat San Francisco 76-69 and then beat Santa Clara 75-59.
Jasmine Jones led the Lions in their two wins, as the junior compiled a total of 35 points and 21 total rebounds. The forward earned her sixth double-double of the season, which ties her for second in the West Coast Conference.
Aspyn Adams led the Lions to their win over the Dons while draining seven three-pointers, which landed the freshman tied at the No. 1 spot in LMU history for three-pointers made in a game.
The Lions are currently leading the conference in offensive rebounds with 753 on the season and third in the conference in blocked shots with 81.
Last season, the Lions went 0-2 against the Waves, which gives the Lions a 25-54 record with Pepperdine all-time. The last time LMU beat Pepperdine was in 2018 at home.
Tip-off will be at 5:00 PM in Malibu at Firestone Fieldhouse against the Waves.
