LOS ANGELES – Following two weeks of tournaments, the Loyola Marymount University men's water polo team will play a single game this weekend to open conference play. The Lions, tied for 16^th in the country, travel to Fresno Pacific for a noon Saturday competition against the Sunbirds.
 
FPU (1-7) plays their first WWPA on Friday night, hosting UC San Diego at 5 p.m., before the Lions are set to battle.
 
LMU's (1-5) game at FPU will be played at Sunnyside Aquatics Central. The Lions beat the Sunbirds, 10-2, last season.
 
Both Blazo Mitrovic and David Carrasco tied for the team lead with nine points apiece last weekend's WWPA/GCC Conference Challenge Cup. Mitrovic scored eight goals on the weekend and added an assist, while Carrasco scored six goals with three assists.
