LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount men's tennis team (6-13, 4-3, WCC) is set for its last regular season matches this weekend, as the team will take on Santa Clara and San Francisco on the road.
The Lions head into this weekend's matches coming off of a split weekend, where the team upset No. 38 BYU 4-2, and fell to San Diego 4-1.
The Lions are led by No. 121
Lukas Moenter, who was named the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the week after beating BYU's ranked No. 103 player 6-3, 6-1 from the No. 1 spot.
The No. 56 doubles tandem of
Nick Borchenko and
Diego Nava led the Lions from the No. 1 spot and are 7-3 on the season.
The Lions will take on Santa Clara on Friday at 11 a.m. The team will pick back up play on Saturday to take on San Francisco at 1:00 p.m.
Last season, the Lions swept Santa Clara 4-0 and beat USF 4-2.
