LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount women's basketball team will open up the 2019 West Coast Conference Tournament against the University of San Francisco on Friday afternoon in Las Vegas, Nev.
The fifth seeded Lions will take on the ninth seeded Dons at the Orleans arena. LMU will be going into Friday's game with the first-round bye, while USF will be coming into the game after an afternoon win against Portland.
In the regular season, the Lions swept the Dons in both of their meetings, including a 66-58 win at home, and a 73-66 win on the road.
The Dons are 7-23 on the season and 2-16 in conference play and just picked up a 76-69 win over the Pilots.
The Lions are 17-13 on the season and 10-8 in conference play. The team finished off their regular season with a split weekend against Portland and Gonzaga, as the Lions beat the Pilots 70-54 and fell to the Bulldogs 68-56.
The winner of today's game will take on the fourth seeded Saint Mary's in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
