LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount men's tennis team will head up to Stockton to take part in the Pacific Mountain Invitational, hosted by fellow West Coast Conference team, Pacific.
There will be seven teams at the invitational, the Lions, Pacific and University of San Francisco will represent the WCC. Non-conference teams include, Hawai'i, Lamar, Brown and Fresno State.
The Lions (1-5) will head into this weekend's matches coming off of a tough 2-5 loss to UNC Wilmington.
Diego Nava paired up with
Ethan Prost in doubles play and got his fifth straight doubles win of the season after clinching the doubles point for the Lions. While Nava is undefeated in doubles play,
Thien Nguyen and
Lukas Moenter are 4-1.
LMU will kick off the invitational on Friday at 8:00 a.m. against Brown. The winner of round one will take on either Pacific or Lamar on Sunday. Due to potential rain in Stockton, all of the matches will be held indoors at In-Shape, where there will only be two courts, making the match times longer.
