LOS ANGELES Calif., -- They Loyola Marymount women's basketball team will play its last two games of the regular season this week, as the team will take on Portland (12-15, 4-12) on Thursday and Gonzaga (25-3, 14-2) on Saturday. 
 
The Lions will head into this week's games coming off of a split weekend at home, including a 69-56 win over Saint Mary's, and an 81-75 loss to Pacific. Chelsey Gipson led the team in points in both games, as she had 25 against SMC and 24 points and five assists against the Tigers. 
 
Gipson remains the No. 2 scorer in the conference, as she averages 19.2 points a game in conference play, while Jasmine Jones sits at the No. 15 spot, averaging 12.7 points in conference play. Gipson is tied for first in the conference for three-point field goals made, averaging 2.8. 
 
Bree Alford remains the WCC's No. 1 rebounder, averaging 10 a game, while Andee Velasco is the conference's fourth leader in assists, averaging 4.8 a game. Cierra Belvin is No. 7 in the conference with steals, with 1.8 per game. 

Alford and Velasco will play this week's games as members of the 10-person WCC All-Academic Team, announced by the conference this week. 
 
The Lions are second in the conference with assists and steals, averaging 16.6 and 9.6. The Lions sit at the No. 6 spot in the conference, while Portland is No. 8 and Gonzaga is No. 1.
 
 In the Lions' last meeting with the Pilots, LMU cruised past the team, picking up a 76-58 win. The Lions fell in their last meeting with the Bulldogs this season 76-58. 
 
LMU will take on the Portland Pilots Thursday at 7 p.m., and will be back in action on Saturday to take on Gonzaga at 2 p.m. in Spokane Wash.
