LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The field is set and the rankings are out for this weekend's Barbara Kalbus Invitational hosted by UC Irvine. Games will be played over three days from two sites, the Anteater Aquatics Complex and Corona del Mar High School Pool from Friday to Sunday.
The Lions (4-5) open the tournament against Michigan at 3 p.m. from the CDM pool. After each team's one Friday game, results will determine the rest of the matchups. The winners of LMU's first game will face the winners of the UCLA vs. Cal State Long Beach State game at 11:45 a.m. from UC Irvine Aquatic Center on Saturday, while the wo losing teams will play at the same time at the Corona del Mar Pool.
The tournament field features No. 1 USC, No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 UCLA, No. 4 Cal, No. 5 Hawai'i, No. 6 Michigan, No. 7 UC Irvine, No. 8 Arizona State, No. 9 UC Santa Barbara, No. 10 Pacific, No. 12 Loyola Marymount, No. 13 San Jose State, No. T-17 Long Beach State, No. T-17. UC San Diego, No. 21 CSUN and No. 25 San Diego State.

The UC Irvine Invitational was renamed The Barbara Kalbus Invitational in 2017 to honor water polo icon Dr. Barbara Kalbus.
