SAN BRUNO, Calif. –
Erik Johansson has been named to the West Coast Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic team, the league announced Wednesday. Johansson was an WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention selection a year ago as a sophomore.
As a junior, Johansson has started 10 games and played in 23 for the Lions. This season, the Sodertalje, Sweden native is averaging 10.0 minutes per game, ranks fifth on the team with 10 made three pointers, and has a 2.6:1 assist to turnover ratio.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
