LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University volleyball team (13-11, 7-5) will take on rival Pepperdine on Friday night in Malibu, Calif.
The Lions will take on the Waves coming off of a split weekend, as the team beat Portland 3-1, but fell against Gonzaga 3-1.
Slattery led the Lions in kills against the Pilots with 25, while
Piper Manross had 16.
Jessie Prichard put up two service aces, while
Ella Knowlton had seven blocks.
Savannah Slattery leads the Lions in kills with 326 on the season, tallying up a total of 354 points for the Lions.
Tess Reid leads the Lions in assists, with 736 on the season, while
Bo Culo leads in digs with 245, and
Emmelyn Walters leads the team in blocks with 61.
LMU is fourth in the West Coast Conference, right under No. 3 Pepperdine. The Waves are 9-3 in conference play. This will be the second time this season that the teams have met. The Lions took on Pepperdine in Gersten Pavilion in October, where LMU fell 3-1. The Waves have won their last two matches, while the Lions lost their last.
The match will start at 7:00 PM on Friday in Malibu, Calif.
