LOS ANGELES – LMU men's basketball is back at a new-look Gersten Pavilion this week, and fans have the opportunity to experience several new and expanded offerings. The home opener is Tuesday, November 5 vs. Westcliff, a team that the Lions beat 75-43 on opening night last season.
Gersten Pavilion has undergone a major face lift with the addition of a new court, exterior and interior painting as well as championship banners hanging from the rafters. Don't miss what it looks like in person.
This year introductions and in-game entertainment will now be vastly improved as lights can now be queued for intro videos and player introductions along with light shows in venue. Spotlight additions will also add to the effect of a new and improved Gersten Pavilion.
The intro video this year will feature similar new additions that the court and exterior of Gersten have seen with an iconic video shoot in the heart of Los Angeles.
LMU fans will be able to add paperless tickets to their phone through our new ticketing provider AXS and enter Gersten Pavilion with just their phone. Ticket holders will receive their purchased tickets via email and follow prompts to add them to their phone with ease.
LMU is excited to announce the addition of DJ Sincere along with DJ Showtime as our very own DJ for each and every home game. Their high energy sets and versatility will be sure to engage fans of all ages.
As part of the gameday experience, athletics is continuing the partnership with Santa Monica Brew Works. Beer will now be available for purchase at all home games. Additionally, a tailgate series will be added this season. Highlighted games included Nov. 16 vs. Colorado State, Jan. 11 vs. Gonzaga, Jan. 25 vs. Saint Mary's, Feb. 1 vs. Pepperdine, and Feb. 13 vs. BYU.
