LAS VEGAS – The new college basketball season is upon us as the West Coast Conference welcomed its 10 programs to the Orleans Arena for the league's official Tip-Off into the 2019-20 season.

The conference announced the Preseason Head Coaches Poll, placing Gonzaga back at the top, with conference tournament champion Saint Mary's picked second. The Lions, who return less than 40 percent of the team's scoring (905 points out of 2278) output from a season ago were picked sixth despite being one of four WCC schools to play in the postseason last year.
