The Loyola Marymount University Lions men's soccer team (6-4-3, 1-0-0 WCC) look for their second straight West Coast Conference victory when Portland pays a visit to Sullivan Field tomorrow night with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
The Lions are undefeated in conference play and head into the weekend having outscored their opposition 17-13, with 10 different players scoring at least one goal.
Duhaney Williams and
CJ Neville lead the team with three goals each. Williams and
Brandon Sanchez, who both assisted on
Dylan Shockey's game-winning goal against Gonzaga, are tied for the team lead with three assists.
The Lions have used two keepers in net this season with
Jacob Jackson getting the bulk of the action with 11 starts and 1054 minutes. Jackson has a 6-2-3 record on the season and is third in the WCC in saves per game (3.40) and fourth in the conference in save percentage (0.773).
LMU as a team is second in the WCC in both shots per game (15.00) and shots on goal per game (6.31).
Francis Avoce continues to be the shot leader for the Lions with 40 and is second in the WCC in shots per game (3.33) and fourth in shots on goal per game (1.25).
After Saturday night's contest, the Lions will close out the regular season with four of their last five games played away from Sullivan Field. LMU returns to Sullivan on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a match against Santa Clara with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
