LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount volleyball team (8-6, 2-0 WCC) will take its first conference road trip of the season this week, as the Lions will head to Provo, UT to take on No. 9 BYU (11-2, 2-0 WCC) on Tuesday. 
 
The Lions kicked off conference play last week, as the team hosted Santa Clara and San Francisco. The Lions swept both teams 3-0 making them undefeated in West Coast Conference play. 
 
Senior Savannah Slattery led the team in kills over the weekend with 27, with a .389 attack percentage. Slattery now has 178 kills on the season, while freshman Rose Booth leads the team overall, as she has 191. Tess Reid is dominating the season in assists, as she has 427 on the season, while Mary Shroll leads in digs with 129. 
 
The last time the Lions played the Cougars, the team upset the No. 1 ranked BYU, earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament after a 3-0 sweep. Last season, the Lions went 1-1 against BYU, and LMU is 2-16 all-time against the Cougars. 
 
The Lions will take on the Cougars at 6 PM on Tuesday at Smith Fieldhouse.
