BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Loyola Marymount University women's water polo is ranked nationally to open the 2019 season. The Lions will begin the year with a #16-Ranking in the 2019 Collegiate Water Polo Associations Women's Varsity Top 25 Preseason Poll.

The Lions received 44 points in the preseason poll, with only Pacific picked higher of all Golden Coast Conference teams. LMU and Pacific met in last season's GCC Tournament Finals. 
 
In the final 2018 CWPA Poll, LMU finished the season at 17^th.
 
This year's season begins with the Cal Baptist Mini-Tournament on Jan. 26.
