LOS ANGELES – The LMU men's soccer team (1-2) will play two matches this weekend, with the first taking place on the road at UC Irvine (2-1-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. and the second at home vs. Long Island (1-2-1) on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Sunday's game at home will serve as a LMU camper reunion as well as LMU sorority and fraternity life day. LMU campers will be invited to participate in on-field experiences before the game, and members of the LMU sorority and fraternity life will be recognized at halftime. There will also be a LMU men's soccer poster giveaway for all fans in attendance and the team will hold a post-match autograph session.
The Lions just returned from a Midwest swing, completing only one game at DePaul as the first match at Loyola-Chicago was canceled due to inclement weather. LMU looks to bounce back following a 3-0 loss to the Blue Demons.
UC Irvine holds a 2-1-1 record in 2018, with both of the team's wins coming in overtime. The Anteaters have gone to OT in three of their four games this season. Long Island is 1-2-1 so far on the season, and will face off against San Diego State on Friday before traveling to LMU.
