WCC Weekly Honors Release

The West Coast Conference has named San Diego sophomore Gui Osorio the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week and the Loyola Marymount duo of Charles Boyce and Lucas Moreno the Doubles Team of the Week.

This marks the fourth time this year that LMU has claimed WCC Doubles Team of the Week.

Osorio earns his second honor of the season after going 2-0 against Pacific and Saint Mary's at No. 2 singles. The sophomore had a 6-1, 6-0 win against Tadiwa Chinamo of Pacific before earning a comeback win in the regular-season finale at Saint Mary's (4-6, 6-3, 6-4) to help the Toreros secure the 4-3 victory and WCC title.

Boyce and Moreno helped guide the Lions to a 2-0 week last week in WCC play, with LMU posting wins over Santa Clara and San Francisco. The duo played at No. 2 in the order in both matches, defeating Iliopoulos and Barajas of Santa Clara, 6-3, before knocking off Zincirli and Poysti San Francisco, 6-4, to help claim the doubles point in both matches.
