LOS ANGELES â€" In the first matchup of the second weekend of LMU's softball tournament, the Lions (12-16-1) were taken down 1-0 by the North Dakota State Bison. Hannah Bandimere pitched the full game for LMU, only allowing three hits while throwing three strikeouts.
NDSU scored the lone run of the game in the top of the sixth when Maddie Hansen doubled to left center, bringing Lauren Reimers in to score.
The Bison went on to outlast Colgate in Game 2 of the day, coming back to win 8-7 in extra innings after trailing 7-4 entering the seventh.
Tomorrow, Colgate and Monmouth begin the day with an 8 a.m. game, followed by NDSU and Monmouth at 10:30 a.m., Colgate and Fairfield at 1 p.m. and LMU vs. Fairfield at 3:30 p.m.
