The Lions and Tigers matched up back in December during the fist weekend of West Coast Conference play. The two teams played to overtime the first time around, with Pacific eventually pulling away after not missing a free throw (14-for-14) in the extra period.

Mattias Markusson had another strong performance to seal the victory on Thursday night. The sophomore center set a new career-high for the second-straight game. He upped his 17-point double-double against San Francisco into a 19-point, 12 rebound double-double against the Broncos. Markusson now leads the team with six double-doubles on the year, the program's most since Gabe Levin's six in the 2012-13 season. His six double-doubles are fourth-most in the WCC this season, one above teammate Eli Scott's five.

Prior to the game at Gersten Pavilion, Steven Haney, Jr. will be honored in his final home game. The WCC Game of the Week on Spectrum Sportsnet in Los Angeles will begin with a special recognition to the senior.

Haney is LMU's active leader with 85 career games played. Haney ranks among the all-time greats in just his three seasons on the Bluff, with his 37.3 percent from three cracking the top ten and his 201 made threes the third-most in program history. This season, Haney was averaging a career-best 12.9 points per game this season, 14th-most in the WCC. He has three seasons with 62 or more made threes all of which are in the top-20 in LMU history.
