LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The 2018-19 Loyola Marymount University men's basketball team has won 10 games quicker than any other team in program history.
The Lions capped off a three-game swing away from Gersten Pavilion with two-straight double-figure victories, allowing just 53.5 points per game in those two contests. This season, the Lions rank ninth in the NCAA in points allowed at 58.3 ppg.
LMU is a top three team in three-point percentage defense, allowing teams to shoot just 24.7 percent from behind-the-arc against the Lions. In Saturday's win, Portland State finished 4-for-19 from long range, a 21.1 percent shooting percentage from deep.
In each of the last two games, LMU has allowed a season-best seven points off turnovers to the Titans and Vikings. Comparatively, the Lions averaged 22 points off turnovers in those two wins.
The Lions are hoping that this is the team to put an end to Boise State's five-game win streak against LMU. The Broncos enter the game at 4-6 on the year, and are still looking for their first road win of the season after dropping their first three on opponents' courts.
The game will stream live on theW.tv at tip at 7 p.m. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive an exclusive LMU holiday beanie. All general admission tickets are only $1, as well as hot dogs, for the annual Community Day Game as the Athletic Department shows appreciation to the fans.
